Welcome to the home page of the Pacific Woodworkers Guild.

The Pacific Woodworkers Guild is a non-profit association of British Columbia Craftspeople dedicated to excellence in woodworking. Guild members meet on the third Tuesday of each month (except July and August) in Richmond, B.C. Guests are always welcome.

The Guild is a mix of enthusiastic woodworkers from all walks of life. We are a very active group that undertakes several projects, causes and shows throughout the year.

Highlights of the year include:

The annual "2x4 Challenge" - a remarkable event that motivates members to fashion extraordinary projects from a single 8-foot 2x4.
Participation in two major woodworking exhibitions: The Richmond Carvers show in Steveston and the BC Woodworking Show in Cloverdale.
A summer barbecue.
The annual Christmas Toy Workshop, where we make toys for needy families.
Ancillary "sawdust huddles" (workshops) interspersed with the monthly meetings.
Very knowledgeable and entertaining demonstrators and speakers on a very wide body of topics - From luthers to master carpenters to chainsaw sculptors to tool collectors to woodfinishing!

A newsletter is published monthly, ten times per year and distributed free to all members. Membership in the Guild is open to anyone interested in woodworking. We enthusiastically welcome newcomer and oldhand woodworkers with a desire to learn, appreciate and pass on the skills of our passion.
