Christmas Toy Workshop

The Pacific Woodworkers Guild annually provides wooden toys for the Vancouver Christmas Bureau. We hold a workshop on a Saturday early in September to plan and to start some toys. Members take the ideas and prototypes home to work on their own time.

In November, we hold a second workshop to gather the toys that have been completed and to finish other started projects. Some members also bring toys to our November meeting that they have constructed using their own plans or ideas. We try to supply toys or wooden projects to fit all ages from toddlers to teenagers to adults. These are in the form of rattles, push toys, racers, cars, truck bulldozers, tote boxes, bandsaw baxes, etc.

The Guild usually completes 110 to 170 toys annually.

Here are some photos from the 2002 Toy Workshops and some of the toys made.
